Q: Jessica, you will be facing Paige VanZant at UFC 216 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. How has the overall training preparation been for you this time around during the build-up to the highly awaited showdown with Paige VanZant?

Nothing has really changed except for my eating program to get back down to 125.

Q: Which particular areas of Paige VanZant’s game do you feel you can effectively exploit the most throughout your forthcoming encounter at UFC 216?

I really don’t think there’s any specific thing. I think that I’m more skilled technically and physically stronger at 125

Q: A triumphant win over VanZant at UFC 216 would most certainly put the entire division on notice. What would a victory mean for you personally inside the world famous T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada?

It would mean everything to me. I’ve been on a losing streak since I moved up a class that I never should’ve been in. We’ve tried for many years and I deserve this opportunity and I’m going to capitalize on it.

Q: In terms of predictability as a Mixed Martial Artist, do you generally feel you have Paige VanZant well-scouted with regards to her overall repertoire?

I don’t scout people, my coaches do. My job is to listen and execute our game plan. If there’s something they feel I need to look at, then I’ll focus on it. Other than that, I focus on myself.

Q: Before we leave Jessica, what are your primary goals which you aim to successfully achieve in your career in UFC?

The primary goal is to be a world champion and set myself up for life. To feel accomplished and gratified by all the years of hard work that I have put in. I’ve been given my chance to excel at a weight class that best suits me.
