Numbers Don’t Lie

The only way you can justify that somebody is the best is through numbers. Atlanta led the NFL in scoring for the first time in franchise history this season, scoring the eighth-most points in NFL history 540 with an average of 33.8 points per game. Jones broke his own franchise record for receiving yards against the Carolina Panthers on October 2nd, 2016. he had 12 catches for 300 yards and a touchdown. His previous record was against the Green Bay Packers 259 yards on 11 catches on Dec. 8, 2014, against the Packers. Jones is averaging an impressive 110 receiving yards per game in five career postseason games. This is the highest average since the merger among players who have appeared in more than two playoff games.

Professional

Jones always makes headlines on the field giving opposing teams nightmares. After the game, he always keeps it professional and stays away from the negative headlines. Social Media is deadly if you let. Jones uses social media to provide updates or anything related to Atlanta.

Social Media

Compared to his competition Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham Jr who love to use it. This is not a bad thing because people use social media daily. It has become the new method of communicating with each other instantly. However, at the same time athletes who use it need to be careful at the message, they send out.

The negative effects of Social Media

Odell Beckham Jr.

First Odell Beckham Jr partied on a boat in Miami with Justin Bieber and company. He decided to post it on Instagram and Snapchat. This was leading up to the Giants match against the Packers. Look it was not a big deal because as an athlete you have the freedom to do what you want on your day off. That being said you knew the media would blow it out of proportion and that is what they did. He may have even lost some followers in the process, especially if they thought that all of this partying meant that he wasn’t taking the upcoming match seriously. Of course, he could always read something like this combin review to see how this specific Instagram growth service could help him to grow his followers again because successful athletes love to have a decent social media following. But sometimes, these platforms can do more harm than good. And as a result of his posts, Beckham Jr struggled hard against the Packers and he was not a factor at all with a couple of dropped balls.

Antonio Brown

Fast forward to a couple weeks of ago Antonio Brown decided to a facebook live video in the locker room after the game. Keep in mind that all throughout the NFL playoffs Brown did this. One week prior to the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots it blew up in his face. Brown had a facebook live video while his head coach Mike Tomlin said some expletive things about what they will do the Patriots. In this case, this is completely uncalled for because as a team you kept everything behind closed doors. Brown was fined 10K for his actions.

Conclusion

As you can see the stats speak for themselves. This Sunday, Julio Jones will look to cement his legacy in SuperBowl 51 Jones will have to play a vital role in order to bring the Atlanta Falcons their first Superbowl in franchise history.
