Shinsuke Nakamura Returns: NXT Review

The latest episode of NXT was a coming out party for SAnitY as the made a statement on the overall roster, here are my overall thoughts as well as the results.

SAnitY beatdown

NXT made its return to the University of Central Florida, The Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger was supposed to have a match with Eric Young. However, it didn’t go according to plan as SAnitY attacked Roderick Strong. As a result, Dillinger did not feel like having a match as he wanted to go check on his friend. Then Dillinger and No Way Jose tried to fight off SAnitY. It was unsuccessful as it was a four on two beatdown by SAnitY as they reigned supreme.

Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. HoHo Lun

HoHo Lun made a rare NXT appearance as he took on Andrade “Cien” Almas. A vicious clothesline and a hammerlock DDT spelled the end for Lun and resulted in an impressive victory for Cien. Almas completed dominated and he picked up a win with a unique DDT.

Billie Kay vs. Ember Moon

Billie Kay had her hands full as he took on the undefeated Ember Moon. However, you knew that Peyton Royce would be ringside. The numbers game would be too much for Moon to handle early on in the match. Moon showed adversity as she fought back and delivered the Eclipse to Kay to pick up the win. After the match, the effect of the devastating Eclipse caused a scary. Kay stayed down for several mins as she was treated by the medical staff. The good news was that Kay was able to walk out on her own.

NXT TakeOver: Orlando Women’s Championship

Willam Regal NXT GM made a match at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. It will be featuring two women who are currently undefeated on NXT. It will be Ember Moon as she challenges NXT Women’s Champion Asuka.

The Authors of Pain send a message to The Revival

The Revival had a match with the Early Brothers but that did not happen. A week prior The Revival got involved in the Authors of Pain. Then The Authors of Pain returned the favor Akam and Rezar interfered and made an example of Gabriel Uriel and Ealy while Dash and Dawson made a quick exit.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. TJ Perkins

Shinsuke Nakamura a brutal knee injury suffered last month. He made his return to NXT against TJ Perkins. The two Superstars are plenty familiar with each other, having trained together in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s dojos in California and Japan. Both men initially were scouting each other as both have unique offenses.

Perkins had a smart strategy as he focused on Nakamura injured knee. The former Cruiserweight Champion used his strength which is lightning quick speed and his agility. Perkins locked on his trademark kneebar. The King of Strong Style managed to get out of the hold. Nakamura showed heart as he came and he hit Perkins with the Kinshasa as he got the win.
