Dean Perretta: First and foremost Ruben, Adidas football is a bona fide global leader in game. How would you describe your overall involvement and experiences thus far in your association with Adidas football?
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: I have been with Adidas since I was 15 years old and they have looked after me really well. The (Adidas) boots are great, which is the most important thing for me. I am looking forward to a long successful association with the brand.
Dean Perretta Which particular Adidas football boots in the current range would you recommend most and why?
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Depends on the type of player you are. I personally wear the X boot. I like my boots light and thin, so I have a better feel of the ball whilst feeling like my feet are lighter!
Dean Perretta: What items in the latest Adidas collection have caught your eye?
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Loving the Deerupt trainers! They are so comfy. I was living in them over in Russia around the (England FIFA World Cup 2018) base.
Dean Perretta: How would you describe your first-ever FIFA World Cup experience in hindsight?
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: First World Cup was an incredible experience! It was amazing to be part of something we haven’t achieved as a nation for years. We were so close to making the final! We can take a lot of positives from it and now look forward to qualifying for Euro 2020.
Dean Perretta: Before we leave Ruben, what are your primary objectives and goals for the 2018-2019 season?
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: I haven’t set any immediate goals for this season. It’s still early and who knows what can happen? So I intend to just keep working hard. Of course, I want to retain my England place, so I need to make sure I am ready to play when the opportunity arises.
