Week 11 Starts and Sits
By: Corey Saunders
Starts:
Terrelle Pryor (WR, Cleveland Browns) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
– He is pretty much the only confident start on the Browns roster. Against a porous Steelers secondary, he should have a productive day.
James Starks (RB, Denver Broncos) vs. Washington Redskins
– With Eddie Lacy out, Starks has been nothing but dependable. With a week under his belt since returning from injury, Aaron Rodgers will surely be happy this week to have Starks at full go again. I definitely feel confident starting him against Washington.
Kirk Cousins (QB, Washington Redskins) vs. Green Bay Packers
– Green Bay is reeling. It isn’t going to get any better against an extremely balanced Redskins team. Kirk Cousins is a gunslinger and will be spreading the love all day against Green Bay. He will have excellent numbers against them.
C.J. Fiedorowicz (TE, Houston Texans) vs. Oakland Raiders
– As weird as this may sound, I see this as almost a TE1 this week. He always seems to be the Target when they are between 3 and 12 yards from the end zone. Defenses seem to forget about him and all of a sudden, C.J. has 4 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. I see the same situation this week. Start him.
Sits:
Jared Goff (QB, Los Angeles Rams) vs. Miami Dolphins
– The Dolphins have been tremendously better these last few weeks. It has taken 11 weeks for Goff to make his NFL debut, and he still may not be ready. Miami is going to bring every kind of blitz known to man against Goff, and with no plausible threat outside of maybe Tavon Austin to exploit that, Goff looks to be in for a long day.
Terrance West ( RB, Baltimore Ravens) vs. Dallas Cowboys
– As far as it looks in Baltimore, it is absolutely a committee situation. The bad news for West is, the upside lies with giving more touches to Kenneth Dixon. Not to mention, Dallas has actually been pretty stout on Defense. If you have other options, it may be best to sit West.
Cameron Meredith ( WR, Chicago Bears) vs. New York Giants
– With Alshon suspended, you would think Meredith is a lock to start. However, the chemistry demonstrated with Cutler over the last few week shows otherwise. Start him if you absolutely need him as a Alshon replacement, but if there is a streaming option out there and you can afford it, I’d look elsewhere.
Zach Ertz ( TE, New Orleans Saints) vs. Seattle Seahawks
– Unless the Eagles know something we don’t, the signs are trending towards Ertz not playing. And even if he does play, I don’t expect him to flourish against the Seahawks.
