With the beginning of June now underway, the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is starting to appear in the football horizon. With 32 teams preparing to battle for international bragging rights here in the United States on June 14.
FIFA announced Tuesday that four new locations around the DMV will serve as base camps for teams participating in this summer Club World Cup. They will be hosting practices in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
The pride of soccer enlarging in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area as fans get the opportunity to enjoy five teams across three matches here in the nation’s capital at Audi Field.
Excitement doesn’t stop there as extra locations have been added for spectators to watch these prestigious teams prepare for the tournament.
These teams that are making their stay in the terrapin state include Wydad AC, Al Ain FC, Al Hilal.
Wydad AC, Morocco’s most titled club, will be practicing at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. For those unfamiliar, it is a private school around the D.C. area that has a huge athletic complex.
19-time Saudi Pro League champion, Al Hilal, will practice at Leesburg, Virginia training facilities. This athletic facility is also home to the DC United squad in the MLS.
The face of United Arab Emirates soccer, Al Hilal, is hosting practices at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Serie A candidate, Juventus AC, will host practice at the Greenbrier Sports Performance Center in Greenbrier County, WV.
The fifth team competing at Audi Field this summer, FC Salzburg, will train in Morristown, New Jersey.
