205 Live was another stellar episode last night with the main focus on the main event which was an I forfeit a match, I will provide a brief recap of the show.
Cedric Alexander vs Drew Gulak
Before Cedric Alexander took on Drew Gulak Noam Dar got involved and Dor attacked Alexander. As a result, Gulak decided to join in on as well. Alexander did his best to fight off both men until Gulak took down Alexander with a chop block to the knee. Although his knee was injured, Alexander took the fight to his Gulak despite being in serious pain. Gulak capitalized and hit a dragon screw across the middle rope on his knee. Alexander did not give up but Gulak was too much for Alexander to handle. Gulak picked up the win with a belly-to-back suplex into a pin.
Tony Nese vs. Mustafa Ali
Tony Nese and Mustafa Ali are two of the most athletically-gifted Superstars in the Cruiserweight division. Ali controlled the majority of the match with his unique offense with a Rana a rolling Neckbreaker Nese was able to take all the damage, Nese Suplexed Ali, into the turnbuckle before hitting him with a devastating running knee in the turnbuckle get the win.
Jack Gallagher vs. Ariya Daivari
The final encounter took place between Jack Gallagher against Ariya Daivari in the first ever I Forfeit Match. The rules were simple no pinfalls, submissions, count-outs or disqualifications, the only way to win is to make your opponent say “I Forfeit.”
Daivari and Gallagher have met numerous times on WWE 205 Live and on Raw. Both wrestlers have unique styles as Gallagher relied on his unorthodox style using unique submission holds and moves. While Daivari style is simple to beat his opponents and make an example out of them.
This match was entertaining Daivari looked to have the match when he locked in the Cobra Clutch. Gallagher used his third umbrella to break the submission hold. Then Gallagher got the last laugh as he used the umbrella to lock in the Cross face Chicken Wing he forced Daivari to say I forfeit.
