NBA champion, four-time Defensive Player of the Year (a record tied with Dikembe Mutombo) and four-time NBA All-Star, Ben Wallace, a minority owner of the NBA G League’s Grand Rapids Drive, an affiliate team of three-time NBA champions Detroit Pistons, appears as a special guest on FOX Sports Radio 96.9FM show “Listen In With KNN”, hosted by Award-winning presenter Kelsey N. Nelson, on June 20 to discuss his longstanding affinity and legacy with the Detroit Pistons, the vast importance of facilitating changes in the corporate world as an African-American minority owner and much more in an exclusive with the NBA’s two-time rebounding leader.
The shot-blocking, blue-collar Alabama native, who played collegiately at Virginia Union in Richmond, VA, upon the recommendation and mentorship of no-nonsense, hard-nosed former New York Knicks power forward and one-time NBA All-Star, Charles Oakley, had his jersey number (#3) retired by the Detroit Pistons in 2016.
Furthermore, the ever-intense Wallace was officially named as a finalist for the 2019 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class.
The Detroit Pistons legend, a five-time NBA All-Defensive first-team player, was also officially inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 courtesy of his contributions to sports in the Motor City.
