Not much has gone right for the Carolina Panthers this season, but tackle Derrick Brown has been a bright spot in an otherwise dreary campaign.
Named to his first Pro Bowl as a first alternate, Brown went into Sunday’s regular season finale needing only 3 tackles to hit 100 on the season. In the second quarter, he made his 99th tackle – an NFL single season record for a defensive lineman. The previous record was set last season when Christian Wilkins of the Miami Dolphins registered 98 tackles.
