Panthers Training Camp: Know Before You Go

The Carolina Panthers open training camp tomorrow and for the first time in franchise history, it’s being held in Charlotte, NC. Newly vamped practice fields will welcome fans on Wednesday morning and there are a few things you should know.

For starters, parking can be a nuisance in Uptown Charlotte, so before you head out, secure and prepay for parking on the team website, Panthers.com, through SpotHero. There are also private decks and surface lots as well as metered on-street parking. If you’re down for a short walk, the Streetcar and Lynx Light Rail are also viable options. There will be no vehicle drop off along Cedar Street.

General admission ticket holders will enter practice at 705 W. Fourth Street while separate ADA entrances will be on Cedar Street. The VIP entrance will be located nearest to the stadium. Tickets are not available on-site and must have been secured through TicketMaster. Wednesday’s practice is already sold out. Gates open at 8:30am and close 30 minutes after practice. There will be opportunities for fans to get autographs from players after each practice. Signage on-site will direct fans to the designated area along the fence where there will be opportunities for players to stop and sign autographs after practice. There is also a designated area for children seeking autographs. There is also an area dedicated to activities for young Panthers fans located behind the general admission covered seating.

No outside food or beverages are permitted but there will be concessions available for purchase – but be advised, it is a cashless facility. Alcoholic beverages will be available for VIP ticket holders. Official player jerseys, hats and other merchandise will be available for purchase from the Panthers Team store located in the Fan Zone.

Seating is first come, first served and port-a-johns will be available throughout the facility. The clear bag policy will be in effect and you can find a list of prohibited items here. Although a First Aid tent will be on-site with authorized medical personnel from Atrium Health, please remember it’s late July and the heat and humidity is a trademark of training camp. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and get ready to usher in the new Dave Canales/Dan Morgan regime.
