Stars React to the Final Days Before FIFA Club World Cup

Things are beginning to heat up in the United States with summer right around the corner and the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup is under a month away from kicking off in Miami.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, hosted in the U.S. from June 14 to July 13, will bring together 32 club teams from around the world for the first time to settle international bragging rights.

Competing in 63 matches in 12 stadiums across 11 cities for the biggest and inclusive global club soccer competition. All to win a brand new FIFA Club World Cup trophy and $1 billion in prize money.

With some of the prestigious clubs in the world coming to compete such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Miami FC and Manchester City, the best in the world will be out to play and eager to get to the beginning of the legendary tournament.

This includes Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, defenseman Dani Carvajal and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who were recently able to sit down with FIFA and share some of their motivations going into June.

“I think just the opportunity to win a different title, really. I think that’s the honest truth: to try and be the first club to win it. Obviously, [Real] Madrid [CF] deserves that kind of a kind of accolade in my opinion. But also I think it’s being able to play in somewhere I’ve not played regularly before in America and then also play against some opponents that you wouldn’t normally get the chance to face. So, I think there’s a lot of positives to it, for sure,” said Bellingham.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be the first opportunity for a lot of international players to get accustomed to playing in the United States before next year’s 2026 FIFA World Cup. Bellingham is no stranger to the big time, scoring nine goals in 31 appearances for Real Madrid this season in La Liga.

“Yes, I think that mixing different styles of play, leagues and continents is what makes this so special. This season, we’ve already played against Pachuca and Salzburg, so we have a bit of experience playing against them. We’re looking forward to 18 June for our first match against Al Hilal,” said Carvajal.

The beauty of the sport and the clashing of playstyles will be center stage on Saturday, June 14as the first game of the tournament will be a matchup between Group A’s Al Ahly FC and Inter Miami CF at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
