Richmond- In a surprising move this morning the Washington Redskins cut cornerback Orlando Scandrick. The nine year veteran signed from the Dallas Cowboys on a two year $10 million dollar contract to add veteran depth to the defensive secondary. Scandrick did not have a good last few seasons in Dallas but was having a strong camp here. With the loss of Joshua Holsey with a toe injury, Scandrick had been either starting opposite of Josh Norman in base and sliding inside on Nickel. This move shows the growth rookie corners Greg Stroman and Danny Johnson. Also this means Joshua Holsey might be nearing a return.
