Young Hits Pay Dirt, Tosses First Touchdown Pass of His Career

There was a collective sigh of relief and simultaneous glee as Carolina’s rookie quarterback Bryce Young hit pay dirt by tossing a 16 yard touchdown pass to receiver Adam Thielen. Young had played three series in each of the team’s previous two preseason games.

In front of the home crowd at Bank of America Stadium, the No. 1 overall pick was 7-of-12 for 73 yards and one touchdown. He also showcased his speed and agility on a few scrambling plays. In the two previous games, he was a collective 7-of-12 for 56 yards and no scores.
