Avery Bradley Scored a Team High 23 points as the Celtics Defeated the Chicago Bulls to Advance to the East Semifinals
The Boston Celtics will advance to play the Washington Wizards in the Eastern Conference semifinals after finishing their series with the Chicago Bulls following a 105-83 victory Friday night.
Avery Bradley led the way for the Celtics tonight as he scored a team high 23 points to seal the win and the series for Boston. A team that was once down 0-2 has now won 4 straight games and will have momentum heading into their series with Washington. Bradley’s 23 points came on 9-for-12 shooting. He also had five rebounds and three assists. Let’s not forget to mention that Bradley has been hot of lately scoring 47 points in the final two games of the series, while being the primary defender on the Bulls Jimmy Butler their leading scorer.
However, Butler managed to score 23 points himself despite playing through significant pain. In the end though it just was not enough as the Bulls lacked energy right from the start . For a team facing elimination at home they did not seem into the game at all. Boston went on a 16-4 run that spanned from the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter. Since that moment Chicago never really appeared to have a chance at winning the game.
The Celtics were ready tonight to get the win and close out a hard fought series.against the Bulls. Al Horford who had 12 points tonight said the Celtics were ready to play.
“We were a focused group and we were enjoying the moment.” said Horford after the Celtics win.
The Celtics will now have the challenge of facing and worrying about guarding John Wall , Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards. Then again they are the number one team in the Eastern Conference for a reason. Game 1 will be played on Sunday, April 30.
