The Washington Commanders took a big step in finding their franchise quarterback when they drafted Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday night’s NFL Draft.
Daniels, the Heisman Trophy winner out of LSU, 3,812 yards en route to f40 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions last year. Despite rumors that Daniels’ camp was upset with the Commanders after the former LSU Tiger had to share his Top 30 visit with several other prospects. Whether that happened or not will be a minor footnote as the Daniels era begins in DC. It’s a clean slate for the franchise who has new ownership and a new head coach in Dan Quinn.
