E1, the first all-electric raceboat championship, will dock in Miami, Florida, on November 13-14, 2026. Spanning four continents and eight races, the UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique) Â E1 World Championship presented by PIF (Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia) , will return to Miami after its debut last season. E1 Miami pilots and teams hope to leave their mark on American audiences. Fans here are eager to witness a championship that mixes high-speed racing with premium entertainment and innovation.
Each team in competition has both a male and female pilot fighting to hold the title of the 2026 Champions of the Water.
Star Power Behind the Teams
Icons from the sports and entertainment world are backing teams and pilots in the championship. They include former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, NBA star LeBron James, actor Will Smith and DJ Steve Aoki.

Meet the Pilots
John Peeters represents Team Blue Rising, owned by famed international cricketer Virat Kohli. The American racer’s career began at age nine. Weekend trips to races with his father inspired him to pursue racing professionally. Peeters, 44, has become a titan of professional boat racing. He has earned 19 world championship titles and set 65 boating speed records.
Despite entering E1 as a rookie during the 2025 season, Peeters secured five podiums in seven races and won in Monaco. When he isn’t racing, Peeters works with organizations like Rotary International to address the needs of local communities.
Westbrook Racing’s Sara Price
Sara Price will also race, representing Westbrook Racing, owned by actor and cultural icon Will Smith. The American racer grew up in a family deeply connected to motorsports, which prepared her for the championship. Price, 34, first showed her competitive spirit through an early interest in horses. However, her ambition and energy soon moved her into dirt bikes, car racing and electric powerboat racing.
Price is a Dakar Stage Winner, Baja 1000 Iron Woman, Trophy Truck Spec Baja Champion and X Games medalist. That diverse resume will no doubt fuel her desire for more accolades in Miami.
Team Miami’s Pilots
Rounding out the U.S. teams, Timmy Hansen represents Team Miami, owned by four-time Grammy Award winning singer Marc Anthony. The Swedish racer carries the legacy of one of Europe’s most established families in sports. Hansen’s father is Kenneth Hansen, 14-time European Rallycross Champion. His mother is Susann Hansen, the 1994 European S1400 Rallycross Champion.
Hansen, 34, has an impressive track record. His accomplishments include racing as a factory driver for Peugeot Sport and winning the FIA World Rallycross title in 2019. Hansen also holds four podiums across two seasons. Those include a victory in Lagos last season and a second place finish in Venice in 2024.
Rianna O’Meara-Hunt will also represent Team Miami along with Hansen. The New Zealand competitor’s motorsport career has been on the rise since her first win at age 9. She was the first-ever junior female to become an Australian Rotax State Champion in 2017.
O’Meara-Hunt, 25, is the first in her family to pursue a career in motorsports professionally. She showed promise for it at an early age inspired by her father’s own early track history.
O’Meara-Hunt continued to find success in racing, including the 2023 SRO GT4 Championship in the United States. There, she took double race wins at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Vantage.
This competition will be O’Meara-Hunt’s debut into powerboat racing.
