Boxing legends and rivals, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao meet for a rematch on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Sphere in Las Vegas, marking the first professional boxing match at Sphere.
Sphere, located in the east of the Las Vegas strip, is an arena that opened in September 2023 to host concerts and films, featuring an audio-visual experience and a 16k resolution LED screen.
Mayweather announced his retirement in 2017 at age 40 after defeating UFC champion Connor McGregor with 15 major world championships across five weight classes under his belt.
Recently, he announced an exhibition matchup against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in April 2026.
While Pacquiao retired after a loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2021, but returned to boxing last year, losing to former WBC welterweight champion, Mario Barrios. With a historical career, Pacquiao has racked up 12 major world titles and is a four-time welterweight champion.
Mayweather’s (50-0, 27 KOs) and Pacquiao’s (62-8-3, 29 KOs) upcoming fight marks their first meeting since May 2015 where Mayweather won in a unanimous decision (118-110, 116-112, 116-112) at MGM Grand Arena.
Their last fight became the highest grossing boxing event in history, setting a record with a $72.2 million live gate and 4.6 million pay-per-view buys.
The two have delayed their fight for years due to drug testing disputes and financial disagreements.
Well past their primes in their late 20s to mid 30s, a now 49-year-old Mayweather and a 47-year-old Pacquiao return to the big stage.

EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire and Limitless X Holdings will organize and produce the fight while promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions, Mayweather Promotions and CSI Sports/Fight Sports.
