A New Challenger Emerges: 205Live Review

This week’s episode of 205 Live main focus on the number one contender WWE Championship. I will provide my overall thoughts of the show as well as the results.

Ariya Daivari vs. Mustafa Ali

Originally, Tony Nese was set to compete in the Fatal 5-Way for an opportunity at the Cruiserweight Championship.  The Premier Athlete sustained an injury. The winner of this match would take his place and advance in the Fatal 5-Way match.

Ariya Daivari and Mustafa Ali had a massive opportunity. This caused both men to push each to the limit. Daivari missed frog splash Ali capitalized with an impressive Tornado DDT, Ali executed a perfect inverted 450 Splash and earned a spot in the Fatal 5-Way.

The Brian Kendrick vs. Lince Dorado

Lince Dorado wasted no time using his flying to take full control of the match. Kendrick struggled to gain control of the match. The momentum of the match went back and forth. Kendrick locked in The Captian’s Hook and Dorado tapped out.

Gentleman Jack Gallagher vs. Noam Dar vs. Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander vs. TJ Perkins

Fatal 5-Way Match

To determine the number one contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Jack Gallagher, TJ Perkins, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Noam Dar threw down in a Fatal 5-Way Match. This would determine who would face The King of the Cruiserweights at WWE Fastlane. Cedric Alexander connected Lumbar Check to eliminate the first competitor in Dar. The second elimination came as Perkins to applied a cross Armbreaker that eliminated Ali.
It was down to Perkins against Gallagher. He managed to hit Perkins with his signature headbutt. Gallagher followed this by his deadly a running dropkick in the corner to get the win.The match is now set between Jack Gallagher and Neville at WWE Fastlane for WWE Cruiserweight Championship. It will definitely be an interesting match up at Fastline between two contrasting styles. This match at WWE Fastline will be very entertaining and can Gallagher dethrone the King of the Cruiserweights only time will tell.
