NXT Halloween Havoc now has both of its championship matches, and this year the show lands right on Halloween night.
The event takes place Saturday, October 31 on The CW. Coming out of Tuesday’s episode of NXT, here is what’s official.
NXT Championship: Grayson Waller (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo
D’Angelo earned his shot by beating Myles Borne in Tuesday’s No. 1 contender’s match. He had help, whether he asked for it or not. Tavion Heights, posing as a cameraman, distracted Borne on the apron, and D’Angelo capitalized. Heights then revealed himself and powerbombed Borne through the announce desk.
Meanwhile, Waller already had his hands full Tuesday, running into Saquon Shugars backstage. Now he has one of the most established names in NXT coming for his title on the biggest night of the fall.
NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Wren Sinclair
Sinclair got here the hard way. While suspended, she slipped into last week’s battle royal disguised as AAA’s Lady Shani and won it. Jordan refused to accept the result, but on Tuesday General Manager Robert Stone lifted Sinclair’s suspension and, with the crowd behind her, made the match official.
From there, things got physical right away. Jordan swung the title at Sinclair, who kicked her off and grabbed the belt. Sinclair also has a friend back in the fold: Kendal Grey, who now has medical clearance to return to the ring, came by backstage to show her support.
Who’s Hosting?
Finally, there may be one more surprise. At the end of Tuesday’s show, Stone found a note demanding that Stone name its author the host of Halloween Havoc. Otherwise, the note warned, a curse would follow. NXT has teased Danhausen as the one behind it.
