Panthers Agree to Terms With Vet Justin Houston

Following Sunday’s practice, Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Yetur Gross-Matos told media that he wanted to prove the doubters wrong. “The fans, you know, they say they need an edge rusher and you know, that I’m not good enough.” Well it seemed the powers that be felt the need to add an edge and did exactly that shortly after the press conference.

The team announced that they have agreed to terms with veteran outside linebacker Justin Houston. He spent last season in Baltimore and registered 9.5 sacks; giving him 111.5 over his 12 year career. The 4-time Pro Bowler was drafted in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs and spent 8 seasons there before stints with the Indianapolis Colts, and the Ravens.

The team has not made a corresponding roster move as of yet.
