Panthers Week 16 Wednesday Injury Report: Luvu and Horn Held Out

The Carolina Panthers have dealt with their share of issues this season and having shaken an illness bug that moved through the locker room, minor injuries peppered the first injury report of Week 16.

Seven players were held out of Wednesday’s practice including vets Taylor Moton (knee/rest) and Adam Thielen (rest). Outside linebacker Marquis Haynes (back), who missed time last week with illness, was added back to the injury report as well as tackle Ikem Ekwonu (foot). Three more defensive players were also held out of Wednsday’s practice: linebacker Frankie Luvu (quadriceps) and cornerbacks Jaycee Horn (toe) Troy Hill (concussion). Hill took a hard hit toward the end of Sunday’s loss to the  Green Bay Packers.

As he enters the second week of his 21-day window to return from injured reserve, linebacker Claudin Cherelus (knee) was limited. Cornerback Donte Jackson (ankle) and running back Chuba Hubbard (hamstring) were limited in action as well.

Previously on the injury report, running back Miles Sanders (toe), guard Cade Mays (ankle), and tight ends Stephen Sullivan (wrist) and Tommy Tremble (back), were all full participants.
