Seven-time Pro Bowler Luke Kuechly is hanging up his football cleats. The 28-year old announced in an emotional video posted to Twitter that his eight year career has come to an end. Kuechly spent his entire career with the Carolina Panthers after they drafted him ninth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The former Boston College All-American was named first team All-Pro five times while also racking up an Art Rooney Award, three Butkus Awards, NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He led the NFL in tackles twice (2012, 2014) and is widely regarded as one of the most studious players in the league.
