Award-winning FOX Sports Radio 96.9FM/1340AM show “Listen In With KNN”, hosted by Kelsey N. Nelson, warmly welcomes Boston Celtics center, Vincent Poirier, on to the show on July 28 to discuss his ambitions and targets as a member of the 17-time NBA champions, coupled alongside the Clamart-born player revealing the success of Vincent Collet’s prolific France national basketball team, as well as his memorable tenure competing in the competitive Turkish Airlines Euroleague, the elite competition in the European basketball pyramid.
The cultured 26-year-old Frenchman, who won bronze with France at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China, signed with the Boston Celtics last summer after leaving Turkish Airlines Euroleague team Saski Baskonia, the three-time Liga ACB champions, who have also won the Copa del Rey de Baloncesto six times since their inception back in December 1959.
In the 2018/19 season, Poirier’s final season with the Spanish outfit, the French center averaged: 11.9 Points per game, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. Poirier shot 61.7 percent from the field throughout 25.6 minutes of action for Saski Baskonia; Poirier went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Poirier, who led in rebounding in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague in the 2018/19 season, was named to the All-Euroleague Second Team courtesy of his performances with Saski Baskonia.
