The esteemed French club also leads with the most Coupe de France de Basket trophies with a collective 10 titles; LDLC ASVEL has furthermore won the French Cup on nine occasions and the Federation Cup once.
Last Summer, Ligue 1 powerhouse Olympique Lyonnais, bought a 25% share in LDLC ASVEL’s men’s team, as well as a 10% share in LDLC ASVEL’s women’s team.
Elsewhere, Olympique Lyonnais purchased shares in NWSL club Reign FC, the Washington-based club captained by 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, Megan Rapinoe.
Batum, the 25th overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft, oversaw LDLC ASVEL’s 2019 French Cup championship triumph and 2019 Jeep Élite and 2019 Coupe de France de Basket titles.
LDLC ASVEL, in pursuit of their first-ever Turkish Airlines FIBA Euroleague crown, the holy grail of European professional basketball, has successfully won the Jeep Élite, France’s top professional basketball division, on two separate occasions in the last five seasons.
