Charlotte Hornets and France star Nicolas Batum to appear on “Listen In With KNN”

FOX Sports Radio 96.9FM/1340AM show “Listen In With KNN”, hosted by Award-winning presenter, Kelsey N. Nelson, warmly welcomes Charlotte Hornets star, Nicolas Batum, on to the show on July 21 to discuss the Charlotte Hornets’ NBA season and the versatile Frenchman’s chief executive role as Director of Operations of the highly decorated Lyon-based Turkish Airlines FIBA Euroleague team LDLC ASVEL, the top-flight French professional basketball outfit, which currently has French compatriot, Tony Parker, a four-time NBA champion as an integral member of the San Antonio Spurs, currently serving as President of LDLC ASVEL; Batum won bronze as a key member of Vincent Collet’s France men’s national team at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China.

LDLC ASVEL, founded in 1948, holds the distinguished record with an unprecedented 19 French championships since France’s top-flight basketball league was founded 99 years ago in 1921, 25 years prior to the NBA’s inaugural season (1946/47).
The esteemed French club also leads with the most Coupe de France de Basket trophies with a collective 10 titles; LDLC ASVEL has furthermore won the French Cup on nine occasions and the Federation Cup once.
Last Summer, Ligue 1 powerhouse Olympique Lyonnais, bought a 25% share in LDLC ASVEL’s men’s team, as well as a 10% share in LDLC ASVEL’s women’s team.
Elsewhere, Olympique Lyonnais purchased shares in NWSL club Reign FC, the Washington-based club captained by 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, Megan Rapinoe.
Batum, the 25th overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft, oversaw LDLC ASVEL’s 2019 French Cup championship triumph and 2019 Jeep Élite and 2019 Coupe de France de Basket titles.
LDLC ASVEL, in pursuit of their first-ever Turkish Airlines FIBA Euroleague crown, the holy grail of European professional basketball, has successfully won the Jeep Élite, France’s top professional basketball division, on two separate occasions in the last five seasons.
