Week 6 of the NFL season is upon us, and the Miami Dolphins are headed to London, England. Although QB Tua Tagovailoa has been on the IR list for three weeks, Ian Rapoport reports that Tagovailoa will be starting Sunday’s game after being activated and taken off the injured reserve.
The Fins currently have a 4-straight game losing streak, and fans are hopeful that this Sunday’s game will be different.
Tagovailoa suffered a rib injury early in Week 2’s loss, making QB backup, Jacoby Brissett, the one to play in the past four games (all of which they’ve lost). Brissett also suffered a hamstring injury in last week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers making him questionable to return this week.
On Wednesday, Flores said, “If you ask him [Tagovailoa], he’s 100%, he’s fine.”
He also said, “It’s not a one-man team. … My message to him is take it one play at a time, go through your progressions one play at a time and try to execute.”
When Tagovailoa was drafted in 2020, injuries were also a concern. In his final season with Alabama, Tagovailoa injured his hip but recovered just in time for his 9 starts last season as a rookie.
Miami is ranked 3rd in the AFC East and 23rd in the league. The Dolphins will face the 0-5 Jacksonville Jaguars at 9:30 AM on Sunday on CBS.
