“Listen in with KNN” host, executive producer, and founder Kelsey Nicole Nelson has made a major change to the show’s broadcast by including a new theme song produced by Chris Hayes, known professionally as JHaze202.
Nelson and Hayes first met at the University of Maryland – College Park when she interned for the popular “The Hip-Hop Corner” radio show on WMUC digital, the official student-run radio station on campus.
Hayes fondly remembers working with Nelson, saying that her ambition for sports and media reporting was evident in her enthusiasm for sharing her goals with anyone who would listen.
“I’m very proud of her, and I think this is just the beginning for her. I think she has a lot more to accomplish, and I think she’s going to accomplish everything that she sets her mind to,” said Hayes.
Hayes, a longtime fan of “Listen in with KNN,” a sports and entertainment podcast, noticed that the show’s music needed to better reflect the host he knows.

“Kelsey has a lot of personality and a lot of spice to her, and I wanted to give something that would fit her personality and fit the podcast, so I just wrote the song, made the beat, and I edited the song a couple of times to make sure it’s perfect,” said Hayes.
The finished product took some time to perfect, but Hayes utilized AI artist Avery Kole to deliver vocals on the song and produced it himself. Hayes sees AI artists as the next big movement in music.
“I think AI in music is the next big thing. In the next 10 to 15 years, I think we will have AI artists as top-selling artists on the charts because everything is pretty much AI right now, and a lot of stuff is turning towards AI, and a lot of artists don’t make the same music they used to. A lot of artists don’t put the effort into their music like they used to, and it’s people that love music and that are really passionate about it that will make their AI music that’s better than the real artist’s music,” said Hayes.
Listeners and fans can hear the new theme music here and on every new episode of LIWKNN.
