On Friday, the Carolina Panthers released the following game status:
Doubtful: T Russel Okung (calf)
Questionable: S Jeremy Chinn (knee), DE Marquis Haynes (shoulder), DT Zach Kerr (toe)
Head coach Matt Rhule spoke with media and said that he is “hopeful” that the team will activate running back Christian McCaffrey for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. The expectation is for McCaffrey to play, but Rhule stopped short of discussing whether or not the star running back would be on a pitch count.
The Panthers face the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday at 1:00 EST.
