Tonight the landscape of the WWE will change moving into the future. Survivor Series is the only pay-per-view of the year where RAW and Smackdown Live battle for brand supremacy. All the matches will feature wrestlers from both brands RAW and SmackDown Live. It will end with the traditional five against five Survivor Series elimination match. The winning team will have bragging rights over the other brand. Here are my overall thoughts on this show including my predictions.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Kalisto vs Enzo Amore
Kalisto will have his sights set on regaining the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against the two-time Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. Amore has shown that he will do whatever it takes to win and retain his Cruiserweight Championship. After Amore got embarrassed on RAW losing his Cruiserweight Championship to Kalisto. He used questionable methods to regain the gold via an eye poke at the Table Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view. Then during their rematch on 205 Live, the Certified G got himself disqualified. At Survivor Series, the outcome will remain the same Amore will walk in and out still Cruiserweight Champion.
Women’s Survivor Series match
The women of the WWE will continue to carry the momentum of the women’s revolution. Team RAW is led by their unique captain Alicia Fox along with Sasha Banks, Bayley, Nia Jax and Asuka. On the other side for team SmackDown Live Becky Lynch is their captain followed by Naomi, Carmella and Tamina. Charlotte was scheduled to participate in the match but now she will take on Alexa Bliss. Now, Natalya is in line to take Charlotte’s spot in this match. Team RAW is too stacked and they should win this match easily.
The Miz vs. Baron Corbin
It should be an interesting matchup between the Intercontinental Champion The Miz against the United States Champion Baron Corbin. These two have gone back and forth on social media as they dissed each other how they aren’t championship material. Corbin will get the last laugh on The Miz as he will pick up the win via the Deep Six.
Charlotte vs. Alexa Bliss
Charlotte took on Natalya this past week on SmackDown Live and the winner would face Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series. She was able to overcome the odds against Natalya to become the new SmackDown Live Women’s Champion in her hometown of Charlotte. The Queen will be taking on the goddess this Sunday it will be a dream match champion against champion. Bliss has made the transition from SmackDown Live to RAW look extremely easy. Charlotte time on SmackDown Live hasn’t gone according to plan because it took her long to become SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. Charlotte doesn’t need the win in this contest but expect her to win this contest via a disqualification.
The Shield vs. The New Day
At Survivor Series, two of the greatest factions in WWE history will go head-to-head it will be The Shield against The New Day. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were the RAW Tag Team Champions, at the time they took on Sheamus and Cesaro for their RAW Tag Team Championship in Manchester. It looked like Rollins and Ambrose were going to retain their gold, all of sudden The New Day came out and they caused a distraction. Sheamus and Cesaro capitalized on the opportunity they became the new RAW Tag Team Champions. The winners are the fans because it will be an unbelievable match but the Shield should walk out victorious.
The Usos vs. Cesaro and Sheamus
The Uso have all the momentum in the world on the blue brand they are now five times tag team champions. The Samoan Brothers have taken the tag team division to a whole new level in the WWE. Cesaro and Sheamus went from hating each other to winning the RAW Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions. They have exceeded expectations as a tag team and they became a very unique and entertaining tag team to watch. This will be a very physical and close contest that can go either way, but the experience of the Usos will lead them to victory.
WWE Championship
Jinder Mahal was set to face to Brock Lesnar in a champion against champion match. First, Styles challenged Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. A new WWE Champion was crowned when SmackDown Live was in Manchester England when AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal. A title change was made by the WWE to save this match because the fans would have killed this match. Both Lesnar and Mahal are extremely limited in the ring and with AJ Styles he can make Lesnar look like a million dollars.
Survivor Series match
RAW vs SmackDown Live
It is the match that everybody has been waiting for the traditional five on five Survivor Series match. There was a twist this past RAW when Triple H replaced Jason Jordan due to an injury. RAW has a stacked team there led by Kurt Angle followed by Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe. Team RAW will have a hard time task taking on team SmackDown Live.
Shane McMahon will lead SmackDown Live into battle with Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton and lastly the 16-time World Champion John Cena. Team RAW will overpower SmackDown Live due to all the talent that they have it’s a massive mismatch. It will be very intriguing to see Triple H against Kurt Angle, in addition, all the talents he helped developed in NXT such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, and Finn Balor. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will interfere and cost their brand the match.
