With the overflowing anticipation of NFL Super Bowl LIII on the horizon, FOX Sports Radio 96.9 FM/1340 AM hit show “Listen In With KNN” hosted by Award-winning presenter Kelsey N. Nelson, co-host Ray Jones and two-time NFL Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriots Cornerback, Tyrone Poole, delivered an NFL Playoffs special edition as the talented trio invited two-time NFL All-Pro, NFL 90’s All-Decade Team recipient and former NFL Linebacker of the Year winner, as well as current Vice President of Development for the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame, Levon Kirkland, on to “Listen In With KNN” to discuss his NFL legacy, Kirkland’s indelible mark in college football, as well as touching on the most relevant news, opinionated views and trending hot topics in the league on the road to NFL Super Bowl LIII.
The acclaimed former Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles Inside Linebacker, who was named in the NFL 90’s All-Decade Team alongside the likes of the legendary Emmitt Smith, Brett Favre, Terrell Davis, Warren Sapp, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Rod Woodson and Kevin Greene, made the NFL’s All-Pro team twice in his successful NFL career, notably including Kirkland’s second NFL All-Pro selection in 1997 where the esteemed South Carolina native was named ahead of the Baltimore Raven’s standout star Ray Lewis in the NFL All-Pro first team.
Kirkland, who played in the NFL for 10 seasons, was twice named Pittsburgh Steelers team MVP (1998, 1999), coupled alongside competing in two NFL Pro Bowl games (1996, 1997) in his storied football career.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers star has also been named in the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, South Carolina Football Hall of Fame, whilst also holding the distinct honor of being named in the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame courtesy of his sporting contributions.
