A Harris County grand jury has indicted Philadelphia Eagle Michael Bennett for an incident that happen during Super Bowl LI.
Michael Bennett was charged for injuring a 66-year-old female worker at the Texans’ NRG stadium who was paraplegic. The event happened at last year’s Super Bowl where Bennett was to support his younger brother, Martellus who was playing in the big game.

The incident occurred after Martellus’ team won the game, The court says that the older Bennett forced his way onto the field where he allegedly pushed the handicapped worker after she told him to use a different way to enter the playing field.
Houston police also announced that they have no video or photo evidence of Bennett pushing the NRG Security worker
The Philadelphia Eagles issued a statement on Bennett’s situation:
“We are aware of the situation involving Michael Bennett and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”
Bennett, 32 is coming off a third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance, and was traded to the defending champion Eagles for a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson.
Known for his outspoken stance on police brutality and racial inequality in this country, this is another episode in Bennett encounter with the law enforcement.
If convicted of the so-called crime, Bennett could face ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Houston police have already filed a warrant to arrest the star defensive end.
