Best WrestleMania Matches Since 2010

The second decade of the 21st century is almost over. The 2010’s have given us a lot of moments, especially on the WrestleMania stage. Here are the best WM matches since 2010:

WrestleMania 26 (2010): The Undertaker beats Shawn Michaels forcing Michaels to retire

Shawn Michaels was one of the few wrestlers to actually retire after losing a retirement match. The build-up to the match was excellent and the match was really worth it. Michaels at the time threatened Taker’s streak the most. He was close to breaking it but with no success.

WrestleMania 27 (2011): The Undertaker beats Triple H

Michael Cole and Snooki won matches. That’s how bad this PPV was. Taker and HHH had a solid match. But it was actually their worst WM match. Probably the match of the night.

WrestleMania 28 (2012): The Undertaker beats Triple H in Hell in a Cell

Shawn Michaels as special guest referee and HHH looking to beat Taker on his 3rd attempt. With an addition of a Hell in a Cell. This match was amazing. All men told a story and the ending at the ramp is poster board material

WrestleMania 28 (2012): The Rock beats John Cena

The storyline was awful but an electrifying match. The Rock was in his hometown and Cena was basically the heel in this match. Great buildup.

WrestleMania 29 (2013): The Shield beats Big Show, Randy Orton, and Sheamus

Out of the Shield’s two WrestleMania matches as a team, this match was their best. They won the match out of pure teamwork, classic tag team wrestling with a modern twist.

WrestleMania 29 (2013): Undertaker beats CM Punk

Out of the Undertaker’s WM matches, thus build up was the most controversial. Pouring fake ashes on Taker during a time of mourning for Paul Bearer. Playing with the famous Urn on national TV, the buildup was clever and edgy. CM Punk should have never been in this match, but he played his part well in his last WM Match.

WrestleMania 30 (2014): Daniel Bryan beats Triple H

The whole Daniel Bryan story in 2014 was magic. The 2014 Royal Rumble was taken over by boos and the fans literally forced the WWE’s hand to plug Bryan into the Main Event scene. But, he had to beat Triple H first. Triple H played a great heel in this match.

WrestleMania 30 (2014): Brock Lesnar beats Undertaker

The reaction when the streak was broken was just utter silence. Lesnar should have never broken the streak. A part timer doing it seems disrespectful.

WrestleMania 30 (2014): WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Daniel Bryan beats Champion Randy Orton and Batista to win the title

Biggest WM pop in a while. The Superdome was filled with cheers and a few tears. The independent legend Daniel Bryan won the title in the biggest wrestling company in the world. Great storytelling.

WrestleMania 31 (2015): WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Seth Rollins beats Champion Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns

The Seth Rollins cash in is one the best main event finishes in WrestleMania history. His win added a lot of prestige to the Money In the Bank stipulation.

WrestleMania 32 (2016): WWE Women’s Championship, Divas Champion Charlotte beats Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Champion

This match should’ve been the Main Event of WM 30. Reigns vs HHH was horrible. This Women’s match was very intense and had a main event feel to it. The best Women’s match in WM history.

WrestleMania 32 (2016): Chris Jericho beats AJ Styles

AJ Styles performed at TNA Bound for Glory, the NJPW New Year’s Supershow, and WrestleMania. He has wrestled at the biggest stages of many wrestling companies. Despite his loss, Styles proved why he’s the phenomenal one.
